Left 4 Dead 2 Blue Screen Crash

Hey guys, need some help here. I bought Left 4 Dead 2 off the Steam store last night for me and a friend, let it download overnight, and wanted to try it out in single player just a little bit ago. Intro vid loads fine, pick single player and hit start, and after it loads the map it gives me a black screen with the same sound playing over and over like its froze. It also looks like it's minimizing and maximizing without going completely back to the desktop. I've read a couple of fixes, most of them are for after the intro crash. I don't have that CSC folder like they talk about in C:\\Windows, I've tried -lv in the launch commands and still nothing. If I let it sit there like that for around a minute I get a blue screen with a bunch of information on it. I can play Left 4 Dead, CSS etc fine, hopefully someone can help me out here. Thanks.

Not possible on a laptop is it, which is what I'm using (same as sig)

@Aaroman, I can play CSS and L4D fine, played almost 70 hours of L4D1 this week with no problems at all. None of them have ever crashed.

Intel integrated graphics are pretty bad and any modern game is going to run terrible on it, if at all.

Also L4D2 uses the new Source engine and is more demanding than CSS and L4D. Even if you got it to work, it wouldn't be worth playing.

Did you try that? Have the steam client verify it downloaded the files correctly.

try this alltho I am not sure it will help. The fact that your trying to play a game on a laptop is bad to start but not only that you have a laptop with no dedicated graphics card. even if you can get the game to not crash its not going to be a very pleasing experience.

just because you can play l4d doesnt mean you can play l4d2. Its a new engine and better graphics.

Pretty much every decent game on there gives me failed, L4D1 and CSS as well, yet I get 20+fps on both of them. I didn't know L4D2 uses that new source engine. Guess I'll have to go rob a bank or something to buy a new computer. >_>

yea I mean if you had a dedicated gfx card it might be different. Sounds to me like an excuse to build your own desktop properly for gaming

Yeah I really need to, don't have the money right now. For $500 bucks I can build a cheap but good enough computer to get me through all my games, which is the same price I bought this laptop for back in the day. Should really stop spending all my money on stuff I don't use, like Black Ops/tires for my car...(who really needs new tires in snow right?)

Anyways, is there some command in the launch properties I can set that might actually get it to load? I forgot to mention I could play this game previously, a couple months ago on a errr non-steam bought version *cough cough* Loaded fine just lagged like a MF. Was hoping there would be some way to change DX levels or 16bit color or anything like that. Doubt it though.
