4GB Xbox Slim + 250GB std HDD = win

Well I got myself a slim a while back and was dissatisfied(as i am sure many others are) with the tiny 4GB of space(3GB after system files and such). SO I got myself a standard 250GB xbox hard drive expansion off ebay for 45 with free shipping. It came in, I disassembled the case, slid that 2.5" hard drive in and turned on the xbox and was happy to see 228GB more space. The entire process took 5 minutes and $45. I have to say I am pretty satisfied now. Oh and I also needed to add a little paper spacer just for support.

$45 is a nice deal.

I still have my Jasper and I love my 250GB drive. I installed my most played games to the HD and still have more room than I need. Alot better than my original xbox with a 20GB drive, haha.

You cant use a SSD in an xbox currently. They have to be a certain model of laptop drive or an xbox branded drive.

Yup. Which is why its easiest to get one of the old type external drives for the original xbox and crack it open.

The easier way is just to buy this drive, and then flash it. Flashing takes like 30 seconds after you have the software.

I had a 120GB BEVT drive and it worked great, so I got my brand new Xbox slim for $129, and then I already had the drive. Instant win.

How is that easier? You have to plug it into your PC, find and download the flashing software and flash it. Then you can finally plug it into the xbox. No I think I will take a simple plug in and go any time. Plus mine was $5 cheaper.

Don't you need special screwdrivers for it?

I just assume NewEgg shipping is cheaper, and faster. All the links are here: http://digiex.net/guides-reviews/con...-360-slim.html

and they all download within a second.

Maybe it's not easier, but it's definitely just as effective!
