Looking for High Quality Screwdrivers - Page 2

If you are looking for good precision screwdrivers and tools you should look into a nice gunsmithing tool set. Sounds odd, but they have some nice tools, and one of the big goals of gunsmithing tools is to not damage the screw head, so there are a whole variety of bits to fit each screwhead type.

UGH, beat me to it.

BEST screwdrivers made ever.

Have been using them for years and you can get them at Home Depot (or at least you used to be able to)

I Promise you will not be dissapointed with these screwdrivers.

They make a much nicer ratcheting driver. It's more expensive though. I paid $30 for a stubby in the style that you linked, and about $80 for the full-size better model. I don't know if I would ever recommend buying a ratcheting screwdriver unless you can justify spending that much to save time. I was in the auto industry, and every little bit of time counts so it came in handy, especially the stubby. Made blower motors on J-body GM cars much less of a pain. Also, you would need to buy a quality bit set to match it as well, which is even more money.

Thread Starter
I really like the looks of these. I should have specified I'm looking for a small set of drivers, my apologies. I have a standard set of craftsman drivers that do the job for most applications, but not the small stuff. I still have plenty of research to do though... thanks for all the suggestions.

Definitely.

This is what I carry in my work bag, and does 90% of the jobs I need it for. It is not the greatest quality, but it is in the medium range category, and one of the better "multitool" types.

OP do you want a full set, or a multi-tool like this one? If you want the best of the best, then you are definitely talking about a full set like you posted. grabbing a Husky like the one I posted is convenient, and takes up little space, but won't give you the torque and quality of the nice German set you posted.

Id suggest to stay away from kryptonite tools. I've bought 2 sets of drivers only to have the units fall apart, cap break off, and comfort grip to rot leading to a very uncomfortable tool as there is razor sharp edges that are accessible with the grip off.
