That 510MHz FSB of yours is due your mobo compared to my 506MHz FSB on this P5Q Pro so it has nothing to do with your CPU being better OCer than Q9550 E0..

Yeah QX vers. is better if you can cool it properly for OCing over 4GHz and if you have mobo that can`t do high FSB freq..

And don`t confuse Q9550 E0 (TDP 95W) with Q9550S (TDP 65W) as they are different chips in the first place..

Yeah and unfortunately all there really is for sale that i can find in his price range for 200£ is Qx9650 C1, to give him Clock for clock and bang for his buck.

Yes , And it doesn't give it any better an overclock in most cases worse >.< from what i saw on XS

I have a q6600 would upgrading to a q9550 is there going to be a massive noticeable difference or am I better off saving and moving into the i7 market ..

As far as the CPU goes, you could get a 920/930 for the price of a 9550 depending on where you shop.
