Friend's making a computer

Thread Starter
I'm helping my friend come up with a build and I came up with one and I wanted to know how much power I need.

Build:
AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE
Sony DVD/CD Internal Optical Drive
G. Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1333 MHz 4 GB (2 x 2 GB)
Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 1TB
EVGA GeForce GTS 450 FPB 1 GB
Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H Motherboard

No overclocking and stock everything.

Thank you for your help. =)

I'd say a good 500 watter is plenty. And it should give you some head room for a few upgrades.

Although a good 350 watter is enough for what you currently have, without any upgrades or overclocking.

I'd go around 500W that way it'll give some wiggle room to grow.
You should be fine with a 500+ watt psu.

If you put it that way, I might overclock it a bit, but it's going to be stock cooling.

True, but he's not that big of a techy, so I don't think he will upgrade. But you never know!

Thanks, it's because I did the Antec Power Supply Calculator.. and it said like.. 800w and of all the builds I've made, that didn't sound that accurate.

Thank you everyone for your help.

620w would be great, then I wouldn't have to worry about not having enough power at all.

Right and your psu will be quite efficient at 50 percent load.
