thanks for the reply, but
i tried using a different PCIe slot, and still the same result of red VGA Q LED signal.
anything else I could try?

Is the motherboard Bios updated?
Sounds like the video card. Need to test it in a known working machine to be sure.

thanks, ill need to test it with another GPU
but just to ask as well... i am not hearing any beeps.

does no beeps necessarily mean it's not just a GPU problem?
i read that a GPU / vga issue would have 1 beep then 3 short beeps. but i'm still hopefuly its only the gpu thats messed up

Think probably just don't have a speaker module connected to the "beep" header.

yea i realised my chassis didnt have a speaker anyway oops

i tried plugging in another GPU and presto, boots with screen display up!
