Wait for Xarmor with browns or just get blues?

Thread Starter
I want to buy a mechanical keyboard and since I won a discount code from Phaedrus I figure I should get an xarmor one. However, I don't know if I will like the mx blues, should I just pull the trigger and get the blues or wait for browns? I mostly game but I type when needed for school projects. One of my major concerns is if I get the blue and dont like it and return it idk if I will be able to use the discount code on the mx brown one.

I had the same problem. I was able to go to a local store and try out a Black Widow Ultimate and SS 6GV2 for a short amount of time.

I recommend you try your best to try them out first.

I do believe XArmor requires a 15% restocking fee if you decide to return it.

Word of caution. Do not remove the wrist pad. If you decide to, be very careful...

I recommend needle nose to compress the two prongs so you don't snap one off.. *cough*

I did notice how fragile they were, but i'm already using a separate wrist wrest.
Just seems to look and feel 1000x better.

I took mine off and don't use one at all, I kind of like the look of the compactness when there's no wrist pad.

Waiting for their offices to open back up Tuesday so I can go ahead and get this thing exchanged.

Ya the wrist rest clips are really fragile.. When i first got mine they were really weak but they went on but after couple days they just broke off, So about a month after that happen i email them and ask them what can be done about it and they said they will send me another wrist rest:)

It came and usps must've smash it because theres a crack right down the middle which problee can be fix but i contacted them again and they sent another one out and its in perfect shape. Really good support there:)

When i use it i just leave the keyboard sit by it instead of hooking it up and works fine.

But right now im using the black widow ut because i pretty much like it better, But the xarmor is a great keyboard, But problee will contact them again because the usb hub ports ain't working so well...

And i love the cherry blues and i don't have one problem gaming with them, Don't think i would go back too a non click switch after using the blues.

Also 55 they problee would just send you the key instead of exchanging the whole keyboard.

Oh I also have many other problems with this board. All of the letters are mis-aligned and or too high or too far to the right on the key cap. And my numpad 5 key is cracked, and my spacebar is iffy.

Unless they feel like sending me 100+ keys, they should exchange it. tongue.gif

After lots and lots of thinking I decided that MX browns were for me and that I was going to wait for that X-armor keyboard coming out soon that features them. If you're gonna be striking this thing 50,000,000 times, I don't think settling is the best option. Also, owning one of the few, if not only, backlit gaming keyboards with MX browns is gonna be pretty sweet.
