I'll try just one stick but which slot should I do ( I have a triple channel motherboard, would it matter if it uses 1 stick).

The two 6 pins are connected and the fan on the video card is running.
I would, at first, say it was ram.

BUt connecting a speaker is the way to go... if it beeps, obviously. But with your manual at hand you can easily find where the problem is, if it's ram, vga, cpu, power, etc...

One of the good features my motherboard has is that it doesn't need a speaker, because it has a little display on it that will show codes, LOT'S of codes, there are basically codes for everything, and they tell me when everything is right or when something is wrong.
Speakers are great, but not as accurate as my motherboard's mini display

I'm gonna go do that now and see if it's bent. The way I seated it was lined it up correctly with the sides and just closed the lid right, as I did that I heard some noise from the pins. Thought it was attaching itself but I may be wrong.

The CPU I had probs with did not have bent pins, but needed to e seated 3 times before everything was stable. All I can figure is that the socket didn't have an ideal connection and somehow installing the CPU cooler was breaking said connection.

Maybe try powering on with no cooler? (definitely not safe to use your PC like this for extended periods)
You should be able to safely start up and enter the bios with no cooler. (your PC may loudly beep and yell at you though )

Also, is your CPU cooler aftermarket? If so, make sure it is screwed down nice and tight.

I have a i7-950 and am using the heatsink it came with. I just remove my CPU and can't see any bends as the i7's don't come with pins like the older processors.

the pins are on the motherboard

virtualjockey should have mentioned on the CPU because they are still there, on AMD

So... no speaker for you?
That could really simplify things

Your saying to connect speakers to it? I thought my motherboard had internal speakers.

Make sure it is seated correctly. My GTX 570 has been acting up like crazy the past two days. It had been working just fine a couple days before that. I suddenly started getting tons of artifacts in every game.

The bracket on my ASUS GTX570 is anything but aligned with my HAF-X. It requires I push on the back end of the card to make the screw holes line up with my case.
