Quick question:

Is DVI or HDMI or VGA a superior input to hook a monitor up to a GTX 580?

I prefer DVI-D, although HDMI and DVI are virutally the same because they are both digital. HDMI is an advantage cause it transfers the sound as well, but I always felt that DVI-D was a better input for PCs

I am also looking at getting the Asus one, although I read a lot about it having a lot of ghosting...

Then again again, my current samsung, all the reviews said terrible backlight bleeds and I've not seen a problem at all, only time you ever see it a 'tiny' bit, is if its a pitch black room, and you display a completely black image.

Be sure to let us know the results!

Cheers

Dumb question but what is the difference between these two models. I asked samsung and they couldn't answer me. They have the wrong specs on the site stating two different contrast ratios.

Is one newer than the other? Glossy/Matte? I cant find this information for the life of me.

I bought the BX2450 and returned it the next day.

I spent a good few hours trying to calibrate it and the best I could get it to was a decent color background.

BX2450 Had:

-Terrible Ghosting (at least 1cm of clear white trail when dragging firefox)

-Bad Black/White Levels (slightly better after calibration)

-Washed out colors

-Overly sensitive touch controls that only worked 50% of the time

I had a dual monitor setup and had it next to my 20" HP monitor and their was no comparison. Colors were much more vivid on the HP and my HP doesn't ghost at all. I ran a series of tests that I downloaded to confirm it wasn't another issue.

So now I am afraid that all monitors will look like that and I hate going through returns. Any suggestions?
