IP Address Conflict Message Help!

I keep loosing my wireless connection every now and then since yesterday. It happened on all four of my computers. It started after I changed my wireless security from wpa2 personal (aes) to wpa personal. My router is Linksys wrt160n version 3. I have updated to the latest firmware 3.0.3. I have tried to power cycle it and even reseting the router to factory defaults, but the ip conflict message persisted. If you have a solution please post. Thanks!

Have you logged in to the router and checked to see if everything is in order? Have a look for a page which lists all of the wireless devices connected and their associated IP addresses.

I have looked at all the computer currently connected to the router and all of them is using an unique ip address. The computers just disconnect and connect again occassionally and sometimes it said ip conflict.

I just checked out my event viewer. Everytime my computer disconnect there's a warning log under system in the event viewer.

Event 1014, DNS Client Events
name resolution for the name teredo.ipv6.microsoft.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Ok, I would ignore that DNS error for now.

You should reserve each device in your network static IP addresses, that way you should be able to get rid of the conflict message.

It should be working, but just try giving them reserved IP's so they can't change. See if it fixes it.

DHCP is responsible for that, but you should still assign each machine its own dedicated IP address, thats the best way to prevent issues.

I would assign the machine getting the issue an IP such as 192.168.0.50, or something high.

Have you tried powering down the modem and rebooting it and then power up the router?...maybe not a solution but worth the try.
