Having problems with my PC, not sure of the exact cause

(I'm writing from my phone, so pardon untimely responses or spelling errors).

It's the PC in my sig. Starting at least two months ago, I was getting random restarts, which I thought was the memory causing it, as Intel Burn Test came up unstable with everything in my PC at stock clocks.

Getting a lot of them today particularly, I tried taking the RAM out one by one, but my PC refused to boot (or show anything on the monitor, at least) with any less than all 4 sticks installed (I looked at the motherboard manual, and put the RAM into the designated single-channel slot and tried them one by one, and the same with dual-channel).

And now when it boots into Windows, it blue-screens right at the Windows loading screen, and Windows can't repair it through the startup repair.

Why can't I boot into Windows now? Does Windows actually have problems, or did all of my RAM kick the bucket?

EDIT: I just managed to boot into Windows again, after running the Windows Memory Diagnostic (Standard level) with two passes. Not sure why that would help me boot into Windows, though...

Have you tried running memtest 86?It sure sounds like faulty ram but of course it could be many things.I don't know how well the windows tool works.
Is your ram set to the proper speed and voltage in your bios?

For whatever reason, my PC doesn't want to boot from MemTest burnt onto a CD or from the USB auto-installer.

That's not a good sign.If you missed it is,your ram set to spec in your bios?Maybe try optimized defaults?

It's not that it's doesn't want to boot, it's that no matter how I burn it onto the CD, it doesn't recognize it as a bootable CD (unlike the Windows OS CD).

I'm pretty sure it is...and I'm scared to check now in case I can't boot back into windows =/

Well you really need to run memtest to see what's up.Either a new burn or a different cd or something. You could try removing a stick and see if it solves the problem I guess.

You could also update your motherboards bios to the latest if you haven't already.
