I would say your OC killed the card.

850 core OC is very modest.

That 2300 mem OC was way too much, IMO. Difference between test stable and gaming stable. One of his mem chips went to heaven.

Have you tried any other games?
And you just kind of slid the stock speeds comment in there, a little courtesy goes a long way for people just trying to help, this is a forum not a lunchtable at school.

Either you are having driver issues or you could have cooked a part of the GPU, running games and benchmarks are 2 VERY different things, Crysis on DX10 will scorch an improper OC with enough juice and/or heat.
I've had it at 2300 stable since the day I installed it in my computer. It was perfectly fine, artifact free, in black ops, bad company 2, left 4 dead 2, and crysis. I never even tried OC scanner until today.

I said "stock memory" twice and "reset" in afterburner in the same paragraph. I suppose that isn't clear enough...

Back in the day I flogged quite a few cards through nights of 3dmarking with artifacting ram clocks on the edge of stability with plenty of ram voltage and they ran fine until I sold them. I can't understand how an unmodded card crapped out so easily. Reminds me of the 7900GTs...

You killed it by pushing it's memory past it's threshold when a few people on here have said that overclocking the 570s memory doesn't yield noteworthy results.

In fact If I remember correctly someone even responded to a comment such as that with "I'm not going to leave the memory at stock if overclocking the core"

Well now we know what happens when you push the memory too far.

8800GT's can be bricked by high ram speeds too.

You test for OC stability in stress programs, and once it's stable in said stress tests, you test in games and lower as needed since games can command more voltage etc than stress tests.

My GPU can run games at 959 core. It's not stable though if I really test...

Since when was there a "threshold" where cards just died if you overclocked the ram too far? The past 18 or so video cards I've owned never had that happen, not even the half dozen or so with volt modded memory.

I really don't think it was OP's fault, just a card that died no biggie. RMA that sucker, that's what warranties are for.

Guess it's impossible to fry a ram chip on a video card?
