Would this TV be a good Monitor?

Sorry for sounding stupid, but I have heard of people having issues at using TVs as monitors. I am thinking about buying a 1680x1050 TV for my ps3 and a monitor, using my current one as a secondary screen. I would just use a monitor to game with my ps3 which is what I'm doing now but I want to record with my dazzle and to do that I would need to run RCA which my monitor does not have(obviously). I just want to know if I will get the same quality and such using a TV. Thanks.

"Condition: Refurbished" :S
I think the TV would do well if it was brand new, you should get roughly the same quality from a TV to a monitor, I hooked up my PC to my 46" Toshiba TV but I only got a shocking 1366x768 Resolution..

2 issues will probably arise...

1: The input lag. It's horrible on most big TV's. I'm not too sure about small TV's...

2: The image quality will probably be inferior to real monitors..

This is just a PC monitor with a built-in tuner. You can tell by the resolution of the panel.

The resolution looks great for a 720P TV (I only get 1360x768 out of mine, although it's a good 3" smaller). I've never heard of that brand though, Envision. A quick Google found that Envision and AOC TVs are pretty much the same, but it doesn't look like they use components from other manufacturers (like the way Dynex uses older LG components in their TVs). I'd look at some reviews and then judge for yourself. But it looks pretty good for the price.
