well i've narrowed it to either this ASUS 23" 2ms 75Hz or the Acer 23" 5ms 60Hz w/TV & composite

but i'll have to decide & buy tomorrow because the asus is $159 at newegg today only

I do game plenty(Hot pursuit 3, black ops maybe, TF2, L4D2, Killingfloor), Overclocked GTX 460 1GB

so is the 60Hz and 5ms that much worse for gaming than 75Hz and 2ms would be?

2ms vs 5ms means nothing. Both are lies.

Also, that 75Hz is probably not at native resolution.

Duckie is right, after a quick google search it can do 75hz but not at 1920x1080

Pity because 75hz is easier on the eyes.

alright, so we'll assume they are both 60Hz, what about the 5-2ms difference, noticeable?

I currently have a 2ms LG

No, you currently do not have a 2ms LG. That response time is a fabrication or exaggeration at best..

Not noticable.
I'd take the ASUS over the Acer just because it looks more sleek.

Btw, i'd keep looking for one with LED backlight.

"White" only LED backlight benefits are thinner profile and lower power usage but hurts color accuracy.

All "5ms" and "2ms" screens have the same real response time of 12 or 13ms, changing from black to white to black again. The 5ms and 2ms ones are Grey-to-Grey
