SR-2/i7 Benchmarks - Page 2

Thread Starter
I'm actually building my own tech station for it, I'm basing it off of a clemens build done here on OCN.

I'm cooling them with 2 x nh-d14.
http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...-pictures.html

I am stable at 3.8.
I am stable at 3.9 but the audio is corrupted at that point.
I cannot stabilize the qpi link at 4ghz.

So, shoot for 3.8, because chances are you won't get much higher on this board. The board is what limits you, not your temps. The 32nm chips stay nice and cold even under load.

There you are, cine benchmark added.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Looking forward to taking mine to 3.8Ghz as well.

I was able to successfully build the system yesterday and today, I've spent some time OC'ing the CPU(s) and I'm pretty much running 200 x 18 = 3.6Ghz (w/ Turbo 3.8Ghz).

Getting the H-70(s) to fit into the Lian Li V2120 was a pain. I had to remove the red heat spreaders from 2 of my Dominator GT(s). But it all looks and works like a champ now.

very nice! what are your load temps with the h70?

This benchmark is on hold for a few days, I am really busy right now.
Whatever you see in the "High" column of CoreTemp I guess. Temps are really low on these E5620(s), like you said, it's the board that's not performing.

I tried 211 with much higher voltages and the performance was actually lower than my 200 run. It's weird.

I think I'll just settle @ 200. It's really not worth it to push it any further.

yeah, the temps are great.

Are you having any issues with your onboard audio at 200 blk under load?
I was but by messing with IOH and IOH PLL voltages, I was able to overcome the audio problem.

Here's what I set mine to:

IOH= 1.425
IOH PLL= 1.825

You can adjust these directly from E-Leet. Start a IBT, play some music at the same time and from E-Leet, adjust them until the audio becomes stable basically.

I settled @ 200. Ran a 50 loop session of IBT 2.5 with 20GB of RAM and it successfully completed. So I'm happy with my OC.

That is defiantly a good overclock, I need to mess around with the voltages still. I'm at 3.95 stable (audio problems), but I'm sure with some more tweaking, 4.0 without issues is possible.
