Need help with case advice

Thread Starter
Well... since christmas was just around the corner and I spent alot of money this year, i was looking to ask you guys for some advice so that I don't have to go out and buy a bigger case.
My problem is with my new power supply the HDD power connectors are extremly tall (Pic) and stick out of my case, thus the cover of the case cannot go on.

I was looking if someone could advise me on anything I could do to solve this problem (obv without buying a new case if possible )

My HDD out of the bay:

Case shot:

Thanks.

ps. sorry for messy wires, they will become less visible at the end

You sure the hard drives are as close to the other side of the case as possible? Its just hard for me to believe theres a case with this terrible engineering.

Try using the drive bays for the CD/DVD Drives.

I think your hard drives are facing the wrong way. Have you tried mounting your hard drives so that the cables which are being plugged into the HD's are coming in from the other side of the case..where the mother board is laying.

ya like thats the way the HDD bay is.. pretty stupid I know..
you put the HDD in and there are two arms that go onto the chasis of the case
so it has to be the lowest it goes :S if you look between the two HDD on the right side you'll see the screw there.

And how would I go about using the CD/DVD Bay, sorry forgot to mention there is a 5 in 1 reader under the DVD Burner. if you can still do it please explain to me how. i'm still learning

Hmm that could be a possibility.
Never thought of it like that but I'll try it right now.

I hope this is what you were referring to; please tell me if i'm wrong and I'll fix it.

This pic shows that reversing the harddrvies leaves no room at the other end for anything:

Do those drives go straight into the bay or do you have to mount them on something else, like a tray, first?
