Building friend a gaming PC

Hey guys I'm going to help build a PC for my friend it's mainly for gaming. I was looking at an Intel i5 build earlier but it's way to expensive for the budget which is $700-850 with tax and shipping.

I am using newegg right now but I would use amazon as well. Since I live in CA there is tax from newegg.

Here's what I was thinking right now.

Case: Antec Three Hundered Illusion

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB Not F3 because it's not in stock currently at Newegg.

Mobo: ASUS M4A78LT-M

GPU: GIGABYTE Non-Reference 6850.

PSU: Antec NEO ECO 400W Continuos Power

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB (2x2GB)

Cooler: CM Hyper 212+

CD/DVD reader: LITE-ON 24x DVD Writer

Also I'm going to overclock this but I don't know how to OC AMD yet I'll read some guides on here.

Total is $753.97 with tax and shipping.

Also for zip code put 92620 for correct price.

Since you have a bit more headroom budget wise I suggest these two possible changes to the build:
*CPU: Phenom II 1055 - may a hex-core isn't needed now for gaming, but it can't hurt. In the long run it would prove a good investment
*Any GTX 460 1GB - it's faster @stock than a stock 6850, but the big bonus is that they usually OC some 150MHz on the GPU without any hassle. ~1GHz GPU is possible with a bit of Vcore tweaking.

A last observation, if you go with the x6 and OC/Vmod the graphics card, the 400W PSU may be cutting it close. It would probably work for many years though. Imho for roughly the same price you could find a ~450W quality PSU.

Looks good but remember there's tax and shipping also I want him to have a 6850 so he can crossfire later and I think for the PSU I'll go with an Antec TP 650 watt

Oced X4 easily takes to 200w depended on speed and volate. 6850 CF can go to 250w. Yes. Should go for a solid psu can do 48a on 12v. Something likes the TP650 you mentioned can do 54a on 12v should be the way to go.
