lol CnQ will be screwing with it. Hit that bad boy on the head and mash F5 on those settings.

All CnQ does is underclock your CPU during idle mode, saving you some power and a fair amount of heat in some cases. After your all up and running you can turn it back on.

Ahhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa...........I think i know where i was going wrong. I thought the i was meant to be hitting around 3000+mhz as opposed to 2000+mhz on the NB....Oops!

So i've no turned off CnQ, set the multi to x18 and FSB to 225 to get 4050mhz with 1.5v. Will test for stability and then try to bump the voltage down as much as possible if it sticks.

Thanks for the help guys - especially Flux. Was losing my mind over not being able to overclock properly.

Will let you know how i get on!

Awesome, Im glad you managed to get somewhere. 3000Mhz is a bit too high lol....a fair bit. 2200+ is very acceptable.

Try this on-demand overclock after you overclock. You will both have OC and power saving enabled.

I overclocked, then used a free tool to set my own CnQ.... its called Phenom MSR tweeker that way you get the best of both worlds! You can set your voltages to virtually anything in the windows interface and it is written to the registry so you only have to do it once.

There are several threads on the topic but you can PM me if you have trouble using it.

overclocked to 3.6 (+.4ghz) 24/7 and i still get 27 degrees at idle
