Nope. Don't even bother trying to change fans in stock GPU coolers, just replace the cooler with an aftermarket one or live with it . They use this type of fan because it produces the right amount of cfm for the card, most 80mm's wouldn't.

Aftermarket coolers can have many different types of fans used on them. 3x 120mm in some cases

It depends on your case really. Sometimes its unavoidable in certain cases or set ups such as Mine. It's firmly set up on my bench with a Set of GPU's in my face.

OP may have a raven, then he'll have nothing to worry about.
