I would get the 850 to future proof (somewhat) your setup. 750 is more than fine with what you got but if you ever want to do some heavier OCs on the cards or CPU the extra wattage will help.

Your HX750 can handle your sig load fine.

I would say this is a good idea, but think of it this way, when you go to build a new system, and you have to use an old PSU, that will make you sad. So you should buy only what you need so that you have to upgrade later.

These numbers are at the wall with a Kill-a-Watt meter. Load numbers are with Furmark 1.8.2. Assuming they used a 90 percent efficient power supply, that is only 536 watts. If that was an 80 percent efficient power supply, that is only 477 watts.

750W is enough for 580 SLI or 6970 CF. Just don't use that GPU-z power consumption override for the 580 though.
