Microsoft Razer Reclusa keyboard doesn't work with Asus motherboard :(!

everything worked fine on wednesday then i tried installing the MS (Razer software) KB and Gigabyte mouse yesterday and everything messed up !

the mouse works fine on its own with my brother's HP keyboard, but the MS keyboard doesn't work with anything else unless i boot into W7 safe mode !

the keyboard isn't broke coz it works in safe mode, so i found out here that plenty of asus motherboards didn't like Razer software, so i'm not sure if this is still the case??

i've tried completely restoring the system (practically reinstalled windows coz i only installed it on wednesday) and then re-installing the KB drivers but it still doesn't work.

tried re-installing windows, and now it won't even boot into windows, just a black screen frown.gif!

the problem is, that it boots fine until i get to the login screen, that goes by fine, then i get a black screen for a few seconds and windows boots, but its just the background image with no icons/ taskbar/ start menu and the KB doesnt work but mouse does!!

should i try a BIOS update? it doesn't look like the BIOS updates for my motherboard (asus m4a78lt-m) have addressed these issues.

anybody know what to do :/?!

I am going to go out on a limb here and say it is probably not the keyboard giving your troubles.

ye thats what i thought aswell, but thanks for the 2nd opinion aswell smile.gif!

finally managed to install windows after taking out my 4870 and disconnecting every connected cable then connecting only my old KB and mouse which worked to install widnows on wednesday, and ethernet, and onboard VGA.

installed the KB now with just the basic windows drivers, and i am NOT touching anything razer again!!!!

now to re-activate windows :/!
