Here is a pretty big update of what I did today.
put some squares of wood in the corners to hold the side panel in place.
Got a vent slot cut into the back panel of the case, This will allow air to flow in past the PSU keeping it cool.
straightened out, and expanded the slot that was in the main side panel.
You can see roughly where the CD drive will sit by the two lines that I drew on the case. I am still trying to figure out how to mount the CD drive in the case.
Everything screwed into the case. It fits very well.
here is how the CPU/GPU cooling fan is mounted. There will not be a vent on the side of the case for this fan. It has about a half inch of space between it and the side panel, so it is plenty of space to get air moving over the motherboard properly.
Got the front panel power and eject buttons all done. Here are the pictures from that.
Soldering is so much fun.
And the final product. It is the power light, and then the dimmer light is the hard drive activity light. It was dim because it was just flashing super fast while loading Vice city.
