hey guys, building a new system and have decided on most the components except the psu. I'm not sure on how high a wattage rating I need. When I use the calculators on newegg and corsair they say I need 1000 watts or more, but that just seems a bit high to me for this system, which I think would be fine with an 850w. Here's the system specs, let me know what you guys think, thanks in advance.
case: silverstone fortress ft02b-w
mobo: asus crosshair iv formula
cpu: amd phenom II x6 1090T black edition (will oc but nothing extreme)
graphix: asus radeon 6970 2gb factory oc'd
ram: g.skill flare 8gb (4x2gb) ddr3 2000 w/air cooler
ssd: haven't decided which one yet
hhd's: (wd caviar green 2tb) & (samsung f4 2tb 5400rpm) in raid 1
optical: LG 10x blu-ray burner
cpu cooler: haven't decided but will be radiator w/heat pipes + 2 fans in push/pull
lighting: probably put a few blue ccfl's, make it look pritty
usb: keyboard, mouse, gamepad, webcam...usual stuff
also want to put in a 5.25" bay multi-card reader (if I can find one that doesn't....suck), and a 5.25" bay multimedia screen with some temperature probes. Latter on down the road I may want to add another 6970 and crossfire so want to make sure have enough power for that too.
