Overclocked my 870 to 4ghz

Thread Starter
Well after some reading and searching I gave it a shot at overclocking my 870 to the 4ghz mark and so far so good. I just wanted for you guys to double check my setup to see if you can find anything wrong with it.I had run 95 prime before this test for about 10 hours and the most the temps would spike to was 80c with hyper threading on but I would say 70 to 75c was the norm. Hyper threading of would knock down about 10c of the temperature to bring them back down to about 60 to 68c.
Any suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Here's a screen shot of cpu z under load with prime 95 and the temps

well I think you're good there, no need to worry just do LinX 50 Runs all Memory used and if that finishes with no error then you're 100% Stable

Those temps are pretty high for a water cooling setup. You might want to try to reapply your thermal paste and see what temps you get.

Well the temperatures drop about 10c if I disable hyper threading so I don't know if it could be that I installed the thermal paste wrong but Ill look into it.
And here are the pics of my bios if you got any questions or suggestions let me know.

For one take your QPI/VTT off of auto and set it within .5 of your DRAM voltage (ie. your DRAM volt is at 1.65 put your QPI/VTT at 1.15) Auto usually sets the volts way higher then they need to be and could be the reason your getting such high temps (QPI/VTT is your IMC voltage on your cpu) Also set your QPI multiplier to the lowest possible and set your DRAM voltage to the specified voltage on your ram (usually 1.65 or 1.66)

No problem, post back with results.

EDIT: also try to lower your ram multiplier. Right now your ram is running past its recommended speed which could cause instability.
