ordering a sager

Thread Starter
hello,

im currently trying to order a sager laptop which im finding quite difficult as i cant order via credit card. i can only order it via wire transfer

is it safe to order from sager via wire transfer? does anyone have any experience doing that?

i was shown to the sager website from this forum and ive heard alot of people here saying they're very good laptops from a good company.

i got in contact with a sales manager from Sager called Brian Liaw and his grammar and spelling was quite bad, for eg. he spelled "Domestic wire transfer" "Domastic wire transfer". we're talking about almost 2000 dollars so i hope people understand where im coming from.

can anyone help me? give me advice?

Sager has been around for a while.
Not to mention they made some top of the line products for not being a big name like HP, Dell, ASUS etc.

I have not heard/read anything bad about the company. And as for the email, sometimes people are just having a off day. Why not just call them and talk to them?

Yes I would trust them, assuming you are actually contacting sager directly, some of our partner companies submit orders to sager and then drop ship to customers, so they are trustworthy.

Your rep was just probably having off day, or hes dyslexic ;P.

Are you going through http://sagernotebook.com/ or a sager dealer? If you are you can trust them. If it is a dealership which one?

I would recommend http://www.xoticpc.com/ over sager directly any day of the week. They are one of the highest rated sager dealerships out there.

Lulz.... Why would you recommend him go with a retailer over directly from the company itself... That's like telling me to buy my Dells at Best Buy and not from Dell's Online Store. That makes no sense to me...

LuLz... because, if you do some homework on it, as Sager owner and an active member in one of the larger sager forums, you would know that dealing directly with sager for warranty issues and support can be a BIG headache. When going through a dealership like xoticpc, powernotebooks, etc. you are provided with a much better buying and support experience, that is much more personal, and friendly. Over all buying from a dealer makes the the whole buying and ownership experience much better.

I purchased my first sager direct, and I wasn't unhappy with the experience but I wasn't exactly glowing either. A friend of mine recommended a dealer for my next sager purchase and I found the whole experience much more enjoyable. My last unit was purchased from xoticpc and that was by far the most enjoyable buying experience and so far ownership experiance.

The first unit I ordered was on backorder and I received an email stating this within the hour. When I called in to cancel the purchase, I was talking to a sales rep w/o waiting on hold. The sales rep proceeded to cancel my order and gave me a code to enter on the website to request him in the live chat on their website. It took me another week to decide which unit to order instead and there were multiple times I logged on to ask him questions and his reply's were always very prompt.

Before finalizing my purchase I sent an email to my sales rep requesting some details and within 2 hours I was called, he answered my final questions and offered me a rush build at no charge because I took so long deciding on an alternate unit.

So if Best Buy offered service like that hell yes I would say buy your Dells ...lol Dell... from best buy over Dell's online site.
