Is there any actual difference between 23.6'' and 24'' monitors?

Is the 24'' actually .4'' bigger or are they both 23.6'' and the ones labeled 24'' are just rounding up?

... Well the thing is. They are aren't measuring vertical distance, nor horizontal distance. They are measuring the distance from bottom corner to the corner that is diagonal from it.

So in reality.... .4" doesn't really matter.

16:9 vs 16:10 aspect ratio's.

i used a 23.6 and 24inch screen in a dual display set-up and i couldn't tell the difference.

Yes.

16:10 is 1920x1200.
