Windows 7 32 alone uses 1 GB of ram idle, so that leaves you with a whopping 1GB of ram for your games... probably at DDR2 looking at that mobo...
What do you have running Windows 7 uses a gig? Right now I'm using just over 600 but only because firefox is taking up 100. Sure it's not just the new caching system?

Okay, well, then ... something isn't right, cause it's a lot better card than a 9600GSO. Are you certain none of the games have had new image quality settings assigned automatically? Some games (Fallout games I know for sure do this) when you switch gfx cards, they will automatically re-figure the 'optimal' IQ settings based on the new card. So maybe you're not 'apples to apples' here exactly.
