sorry that my first post has to be for help but i'm sure you find that quite a common thing i did look for an introduce yourself thread but couldnt find one so i thought i'd go straight in with this

ok so i have done my first build did the windows experience index and came out low suffering from the graphics not being great so i added an upgraded video card ( PNY 260 GTX ) and now when i go to do windows experience index i get blue screen and crash

basic info


any more info you need let me know and i'll sort it

yeah the video card is running and all drivers and stuff are installed and up to date but recently this blue screen has been mor regular jus randomly when in use never did before the 260 was installed when it blue screens i get one very long beep on shutdwn

i think the power unit not up for the job mate. i would see what others here say, but im 90% sure.

i thought 750watt would hold up for one video card or is it jus the fact i opted for a cheap one not running a lot else to take the power away so i assumed 750watt would be fine

ok so i jus tried it again and no blu screen but this error comes up

im assuming its because its a cheap 750. a good brand 500 will be fine.

ok sorry i disapeared for a couple of days after a bit of digging i am now pretty convinced that it is the PSU after a couple of different thing i have tried like if i up the voltages by pretty much any amount it also happens

so now in the market for a new PSU maybe this one http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...psu-600cx.html
