Asus P7P55D Pro or Asus Maximus III Formula

Thread Starter
So here is the thing... I got i7 875K, but still looking for a right mbo. I need to decide between the two ones mentioned in the title.

The Maximus is priced like two P7P55D Pro's . So what will I get for that much money if I get the Maximus? And I mean when it in terms of useful features, more stable or better overclocking, better perfomance and so on...?

And last thing I want to know if the P7P55D Pro has the option in BIOS for altering the turbo overclock on 875K. I've seen it on deluxe version, but I wasn't able to found out if it's supported on this one.

I need the answer till tomorrow morning since then I will be buying the mbo, so I would appreciate fast answer. Thx
My baby :)

I'm not quite sure what the P57 brings to the table, but the ROG series comes with every bell knob and whistle you can think of. For me the most handy has been the higher than average quality onboard sound card, as well as ROG Connect, which allows you to tweak/overclock from your laptop real time. Depending on the price difference, it may or may not be worth it. How much more is the Maximus

Thx for reply... The Maximus is 355 usd and P7P55D Pro is about half of it.

Do you know if The Pro version supports altering turbo overclocking to your will like deluxe :

Because I plan to use that feature that is possible with 875K and I need to be sure that the mbo I get supports it.

Here the Maximus formula is 2000 XXX money and the P7P55D Pro is 1000 XXX money, so the Maximus is 2 times more than the other one.

I think this may help

Now I know, what happened. If I overclock the cpu, the option for turbo boost disappears. Can't I raise my multiplier a bit (I just want 200 Mhz more) and still keep the turbo boost option?

Still, I didn't see the turbo kick in with prime or anything. I wonder whats better, an overclock or the turboboost because intel's overclocking might have the best adjustments.

Hm thx, but he doesn't have 875K which is the ony 1156 i7 that supports altering the turbo oc offset, so I still don't know if the mbo has it. I will just have to risk it and buy the Pro and hope it has it because it seems there is no word about it online -.-
