[Powercolor] Powercolor releases first non-reference 6900 cards. - Page 2

Ooooo I like. I still like my 4870X2 more though, I just got an Accelero Xtreme cooler on it Very soon it's time for a new build. Waiting anxiously for the 2600k, deciding between a GTX 580 and HD6950. All these months I've been insisting I'd go NVIDIA, but the HD6950 pricing is pretty feasible.

For those who aren't familiar:

Sounds pretty nice. I've had good luck with Powercolor cards myself. My last one was an 1600XT 256MB and it is still going in my uncles computer. It has been a champ.

Bought a reference PowerColor 4850 for a friend's build a few years back, it's fine. Not sure how good their non-reference design is though.

The only shame is that, Non-reference PowerColor cards don't use a voltage controller that will alow software voltage control. It may be different with these 6900 cards because they are aimed at enthusiasts, and so overclockers, but i doubt it. A review should clear that up. Aside from that, PowerColor products are awesome.
