Quick questions, I have and old 4870 that was replaced with gtx 460. it's been sitting in my closet for awhile. I recently found out I cannot run three displays using a single GTX 460. Would it be possible use the GTX 460 to run two main displays( specifically monitors) and then use the 4870 to run the third display which is HDTV for movies.

Short answer: Yes, I've done it. Single Nvidia cards cant do 3 monitors, only ati cards.

is there a tutorial? I'm hoping its simple as sticking the card in and installing the drivers..but I'm gunna guess it's not.

It is really that simple, just plug your card in, install the drivers reboot and plug in the 3rd monitor, Job done. You will need to tell windows to use the third screen obviously.
