Actually, let me tell you about my girlfriend's laptop, HP Pavilion dv6386eu.
It's GeForce Go 7200 overheats because of the ridiculously tiny heatsink HP decided to make use of in this model, until the GPU stops working and you get a blank screen with 3 beeps whenever you try to boot.
Now, HP knows this (a great deal of people have had this problem with their dv6xxx series laptops
) so they have extended the warranty for these models.
But, what do they do when you send it in? They repair the broken parts, but they do not actually fix the problem! They just send the same flawed laptop back to you until the warranty runs out and in the end it just breaks again anyway.
