The "computer security expert" on the MBP was the dealbreaker, closed the video.

I knew this day would come. I'm not a software engineer, but that technology always seemed like it was made to be scammed.

I mean, giving your credit card a little antenna that will broadcast secure info if it is asked? Dumb.

I've warned people for years to keep rfid away from their building locks for this reason. It is incredibly easy to copy the codes and write them to another rfid tag. The only good use for rfid is in warehouses for keeping invintory, anything other then that it is a major security risk.

i tried to tell the bank i didnt want a chip in mine.. i did a whole project tin grade 12 on this topic. i determined that these scanners can be purchased on ebay for 10 bucks and modified to send info direct to a mobile device. Allowing the thief to shop online in seconds of having the info... the bank told me that i had to have a chip. i told them i would cut it out. they told me then that it would be destruction of property and that i would get charged XD i was rattled, and now am forced to walk around with my information free to steal XD and i do line my wallet in tin foil stuff lol it works

Lol this is old news, just a new spin on it, when california and washington (I think those were the states) were doing the enhanced drivers licence Chris Paget was "war driving" around scanning them and suggested that with a HAM operator licence it could be done from far greater distances then the 5-10ft distance....

http://hackaday.com/2009/02/16/shmoo...-cloning-talk/

That was a good talk on it from him, I saw at shmoocon.
