Thoughts on this AMD Build

Kind of on a budget so an AMD build was perfect for me. Thoughts?

ATM I only have a 500 watt psu. It's ran my Q6600, EVGA 8800 GT, and 2 HDDs perfect for a long time.

Do I need a certain PSU to use an AM3 processor or will this be fine? I'd still be using my 8800 GT for the time being.

I'm going to eventually get a 650W PSU and a 460.

Try this memory instead.

Better timings

Not very much more money and I think it will work out better for you.

The first 9-9-9 Ripjaws are at a good price and can often OC to 7-8-7 anyways. I do not recommend overclocking on that motherboard due to lack of mosfet cooling, however.

Would you guys recommend this mobo instead of the asus? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-443-_-Product

Honestly, I probably won't overclock. And if I do I'll only go up to ~3.0. Other then that do you think the mobo in the OP is good?

I prefer Gigabyte over ASUS so I would, however it still doesn't have any mosfet cooling; however the Enzotech MST-81 or MOS-C1 should fit for about an extra $10-15 if you plan to overclock.

That Gigabyte board got a ton of bad reviews (Doas and boards breaking after a few hours of use) though and the Asus actually got some good ones. I'm not an avid overclocker and if I decide to I can get aftermarket cooling.
