you still haven't tested this out on another computer or motherboard

further more you borrowed a power supply from a local pc shop? how about you go ask them to test the video card for you? i'm very sure if they sell power supplies they sell motherboards as well? or they even have pre-assembled pc's , since they're so nice to lend you a powersupply i think you can try fitting your gtx 570 in one of their display sample dells or hp's


if your not even going to bother trying to find out if the card is dead, why bother the possibility of selling off a DOA card? who's gonna buy a busted gtx 570 IN MEXICO

Well the motherboard problem came out a couple hours ago, I went to the pc store at 9am.

Im gonna call them now if they have a spare pc to let me try my GPU on there.

You are the troll here, I came here to ask for help since I been trying to deal with this since more than 1 week ago and I jus't can't find the solution.

If the motherboard is the problem then most probably I will still sell the 570 gtx, I don't have money right now to spend on a motherboard, new ram and new processor.

Damn I just fed the troll.

Will update with what the pc store told me.

Edit: Did call the pc store, and in the next couple days they are building 2 pc's for clients( Core i7, 6gb ddr3 133mhz, and such) and they told me to go ASAP when I recieve a call so I go and try the videocard with top notch PC's.

Gotta wait then a couple of days and I do believe I will get a clever answer there.

Meanwhile thank everyone who has helped me, I really appreciate it.

If you can't find a software solution for your issue, the next thing to do(after testing the card to a different pc and finding out that it's a hardware issue) is to send it back for repair/replacement.
570 is better than 5850 and since you already bought it, I am not sure why you would want to go back to the old one instead of fixing your problem for free...

To me it seems to be power. its not geting the apms it need, The 570 =480 and it needs a good power to handle it. I know i did not read all the post, But i had same thing with 9600gt to 285. The gpu was slow, and pc would not repond good. Need a tx750 or ax850 , something along thos lines. Sorry to hear the difficult with gpu. I love pcs but if a gremlin is in it , its hard to pin down. Other then that in bios make sure u got the gpu as prime vidio input. Not pci/onbord. Good luck man

Thx, but it didn't work ;(

I will update the thread, as it comes to this:

1) Testing the videocard on a Core i5/i7 system, if it works then Im selling the ATI 5850, plus some money, and get a Core i5,ddr3 ram, mobo.

2) If the 570 gtx fails on the Core i5/i7 system then im doing an RMA, the brand is EVGA, lucky me they have lifetime warranty.

the lag while typing is either to ram usage or hard drive writing something.

low FPS sounds like a gpu issue.

I believe I found the problem(they are 2), just tell me if it needs RMA or I need to change some settings.



3d clocks: 732 mhz core clock, 1462 mhz shader clock, 1900 mhz memory clock

2d clocks: 405 mhz core clock, 810 mhz shader clock, 324 memory clock

Idle clocks: 51 Mhz core clock, 101 Mhz shader clock, 135 Mhz memory clock.


Problem 1) The problem is that while Im gaming the clocks switch from 3d to 2d and from to 2d to 3d frequently giving me lag issues.

(More important) Problem 2) The game loaded on idle clocks and was playing on idle clocks giving me 1-3 fps, what can I do so when I open a game or it loads force it to be 3d clocks all the time? That's the main problem here....games are loading and playing on idle clocks, any suggestion?

For reference: This are the clocks my games are loading at and playing at.

Use "Apply at windows startup" and see if that works.
Also, use MSI Afterburner or a program that allows you to set profiles, for example, profile 1(no overclock) for 2D clocks and profile 2(oc'ed - or not) for 3D clocks.

To do that on Afterburner, adjust the clocks click save and store it. Then go to settings -> profiles and set the 3D profile to the one you saved earlier. That way each time you launch a 3D application that profile will load and the clocks should be stable.
