Spend as much as you can on the GPU and CPU. There is no need to go out and buy an extravagant PSU. Don't spend more than $70 on one for this build.

here's a decent one

I like that recommendation, I wouldn't mind picking up an open box graphics card.

What do you guys think of this Power Supply? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341022

The x6 is even more heavy on the power phases than the x4 and the M4A78T-M LE still only has a 3+1 power phase; I'd still consider it fairly risky. I guess as an absolute minimum can use a (good-quality ) 4+1 power phase (hopefully with heatsinks) for a 125W.
Try:
ASUS M4A785-M - $70

Really? When did this happen 2 years ago OCZ was the only brand that I would go with... that's interesting to know.

If you had to choose a combo from Micro-Center, which combo would you choose? I have money in cash that I got for Christmas so that would be the best route to go since I can't deposit that cash until January 10th.

That PSU is a fairly overrated one, not very good. Perhaps try the Antec Earthwatts 650 for $70, $55 AR or the Antec Neo ECO 520W for $60 bar mail in rebate.

He should be fine at stock speed only for those X4 and X6 with VRM coolers.

Ok so here is what I picked out so far.

Let me know what you guys think so that I can scratch them off my list.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...8&AID=10521304
Can't beat that nice looking case for $40 + Free Shipping and MIB

Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145260
I believe this is the one you guys said was the better memory of the ones suggested?

DVD-Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827118031
Not much to say, can't really go wrong with that.

Power Supply: Still undecided but leaning toward http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371030

CPU + MOBO: Still Undecided.

Graphics Card: Looking at Open Box items from Newegg.

Bump, let me know what you guys think about the parts I picked so far, also still need advise on what to pick for CPU+MOBO combo and Graphics card (probably going open box)

Case looks decent, great price.
RAM is great.
DVD drive is good.

Open box is a good idea, you'll save a lot of money.

As for the CPU, because you're going with a budget system, I'd suggest the Phenom II X2 560. Even though it's a dual core, it's still a great processor, it overclocks to 4+GHz, and has a chance of unlocking to a tri or quad.

Plus, if you get a dual, 4+1 phases don't matter as much, and you could get away with getting a cheaper motherboard.
