My 10.12 Experience - Horrible and Kinda Scary - Page 6

Looks like a lot of you guys are having problems with video card drivers. I've been building systems and gaming since '96. Used Nvidia ATI never had any problems at all. Lucky? Maybe.
Never used driver sweeper never done a reformat and OS reinstall just for drivers.
Try reading the readme file that comes with the drivers and following the instructions.
This is what I do;
1 Uninstall current drivers using add/remove programs
2 Reboot
3 Install new drivers-make sure drivers are for correct card and OS
4 Reboot
5 Configure display properties to your preference or leave on default if don't know how or can't be bothered
6 Play game

I'm running rock solid on 10.12a >.>

I've also never had problems uninstalling and switching drivers and I never use some cleaner tool.

That, or it bricks their computers so hard they cant write a complaint online with it.
Or the drivers are downloaded that much because apparently downloading the right one at once doesn't work for AMD drivers......

I can see what happened.

Download, install, brick.
Format, new os, download, install, brick.

Rinse, repeat. Each download counts for one tick!

AMD's answer is: you CAN'T do it.
The real answer is: find the device id in win\\inf\\*.inf and move that inf somewhere. Then the HD audio driver (HD audio on radeons) can be removed and it won't come back. And there's no more crashes when plugging in/unplugging headphones into the soundcard that's on the motherboard!

Mines kinda like that but my gpu2 is running at 99% at 400/900. The temps dont go up like its being used but thats what afterburner shows. Noticed that my fps in wow dropped a lot. I was down to like 40 in some places and I almost never leave 80. So I was only on 1 core. First time I've had problems with any of their drivers. Guess its back to 10.10e for me

I'm running the 10.12 without any problems. No issues with source games, Borderlands or Fallout:NV.
I was using 10.4 up until 10.11. I did have issues with drivers that I tried in between those two.

AMD/ATi needs to ditch DotNetFramework, but is it true Nvidia drivers don't use it?
