Well they have that buy 1 get 1 free deal so I was thinking of picking up a droid phone. I was looking at getting either the Droid 2 or the Droid X. I heard negative things about the HTC..Right now I have the blackberry storm. So should which out of the two would be a better buy.

If you can manage the size, the Droid X is the way to go IMO. I had one since launch day, and I'm running the latest ApeX ROM on it (1.3.1)...can't go back to stock now!

There are Droid Phones on every carrier.

But on Verizon there are alot.

Droid Pro
HTC Incredible
Droid X
Droid 2

But they are supposedly coming out with a new HTC Incredible but with 4G.

http://www.htc.com/us/4G

First to 4G again, the only other US 4G carrier is verizon wh ich is really new to the game. So I would wait until then.

But out of those it really is all your choice not one is better then the other.

Do you want a touch screen and slider? Droid 2
Big Touchscreen? Droid X
All touch screen phone with gorgeous display? HTC Incredible
Touch screen & keyboard but with no slider? Droid Pro.
A lick of damn sense in your head? Wait until the 6th.

I do realize you said you are not firm of HTCs, but i must say Desire HD is damn awesome. I seriously can not find one bad thing about it. Runs droid 2.2 with soon to get the Gingerbread update, you can look up other specs if you feel like it

oh...I thought I gave it away when I said the X, or 2...or even the crappy storm...but why wait until the 6th...is that for the 4g phone or is motorola releasing some. I am not really wanting 4g...and don't wanna pay for it if I have to. Plus buy 1 get 1 free...one will be fore my mom..I wonder if I can mix it...

On the 6th a Verizon 4G phone will be released, same price. But 4G... But if you need to buy now and use the 2 for 1 deal then it depends. Do you want a keyboard? If yes then the droid 2 if you the droid x. No one can make your decision for you and those that say they can are lying.

BTW HTC > Motorola
