yeah GTA is heavily threaded for quads, and even a triple core dont cut it apparently.

Yup, couldn't play without being bothered by the sub-30 framerates until I went from an E6600 to a Q9550...and then later on from a 8800GT to a GTX460.

I am going to tell that my Pentium E6500 >4 GHz with GTX 260 got 29 FPS.
But my 2GB RAM makes FPS drops very often.
Phenom II X3 with GTX 260 can handle the games quite fine.
Xeon X3440 with HD 5850 able to hit 90 FPS in some scene.

Nope, a duallie just won't cut it. You can certainly play it and enjoy it. But you will have a very low framerate until you get a quad.

I only want to play with:
1280x1024 res
medium texutres
Everything else on off/low
distance bars at about 10-25
car density can stay off since ive disabled peds and cars for a MASSIVE FPS boost..
definition will be on
Vsync will be off.

I have patch 1.0.7.0

With my current settings my CPU usage is about 60% with ~23FPS (Benchmark @ 1280x1024)

Game is a piece of crap IMO any way. And then the performance just ruins it entirely. And it sucked performance wise on PS3 as well. Garbage game with great intentions. Any game that requires a quad and GTX 460 to play at any type of playable frames, yet lists the minimum requirements as a 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo and a GeForce 7900, is just trying to basically scam customers IMO. If they had listed a 3.6GHz quad core + GTX 460, no one really would have bought it. I feel I wasted $40 on the game. For me, changing setting to all low @ 800x600 as apposed to mostly high settings with high textures didn't really get me much more FPS at all. And on low settings it looks like absolute puke.
