TF 2 "Could not connect to steam"

I cannot access my backpack or any of my items it just says "Could not connect to steam" when I can load up steam just fine and play online great.


Also I just got a 40 kill streak as a sniper! Oh yeah! lol

This may sound weird, but try turning off skype if that is running on your computer.

Don't even have skype on this computer.

You sure? I had the same problem and it just went away after a day or so. Someone people have suggested connecting straight into a modem rather than a router, delete the clientregistry.blob and appupdatestats.blob. No official fix has been found that I am aware of.

Where are those two files located? Also will deleting them cause any problems?

Also it worked perfectly fine an hour ago and worked for around 5 mins after I restarted my computer.
