To wait or not to wait?

Thread Starter
I just got an new SSD on which I'm going to do a fresh install of Windows 7, but my EVGA GTX 580 hasn't arrived yet. So my question is:

Should I install the SSD with windows now and swap my video card from an ATi one to an nVidea one in a week or so just using a driver removing tool (any tips?) or should I wait until I can swap them simultaneously? Because I heard that sometimes people have troubles with that.

Ive never had a problem with a Windows OS while swapping video cards.

I change video cards quite often and never bother with anything other than simply installing a new driver from nvidia.

No need to wait throw in the SSD and then just install your drivers when you get the card.

In most cases, it is fine to properly uninstall old drivers and install new one, or use driver removal tools to remove the old driver and install new one. Thus, you can install win 7 on SSD now, uninstall/remove ATI GPU and install GTX580 with new drivers when you get it. However, if you prefer a ‘fresh’ start and not hurry, why not wait.

I would go for installing it now and removing the drivers later. Most people don't seem to have problems with doing this.

Ok tnx guys, then I'll start reading some more about optimizing my SSD first. Any crucial steps I shouldn't do wrong? I already know that I should update the firmware and I'm reading the sticky about optimizing. Anything else I should know?

Haha, yes forgot to mention that I knew that already as well.
Ok then, I will go on to read about optimization. Anything you guys want to tell me I will listen to, but of course as always I will try my best at finding all the info myself.
