I have 1055t and TA890FXE. The combo works well for me. The higher I can got was 3.7G but I scaled it back to 3.5G 24/7. In general, the 1090t OC should be better than 1090t but OC is luck and see how well the chip, ram and board work.
Why does your sig rig say "X4 1055T"
Definitely go for the X6 1090T.
The TA890FXE hits an FSB wall at around 280-300, meaning that once you are overclocking and hit around 280, your system would hit a wall.
Basically, it's going to be hard getting to 4GHz and beyond on this board with a 1055T. It's definitely possible, but it's hard getting past that FSB hole.
Also, do note that G-Skills do not play very well with this board. G-Skill Ripjaws and Eco's normally have PSC IC's inside them, and this board absolutely hates PSC IC's.
Mushkin Redlines, Corsair Doms, or any kit with Hypers would work rather well with this board.
Take nothing away from this board. For the price, it is the best of the best, and I would recommend it at any time, anywhere. It's just a bit picky, that's all.
