Dual CPU closed loop "Asetek 585LX" Ghetto Crossfire/SLI

I was looking at this

and I was thinking I could use it in a ghetto mod to cool my crossfire setup. I tried to look everywhere for it with no luck, no one has it in stock yet, would love to zip-tie it to my gpu's.

You prolly should not try to ghetto water cooling.
Thats like saying im gonna use alot of zipties to hold my million dollar space craft together.

There was a guy from Asetek in here a few days ago showing off a prototype single-gpu version of that. I think I'd prefer the CoolIT Omni instead since it's designed for that purpose and single-slot, though they don't have a dual gpu version (yet).

searching some more I found this on the net, "ECO C240 A.L.C. Dual Head" was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. Just looking at the pic, it doesn't seem that that the dual heads would reach to 2 different gpu's, even if they were connected in pcie slots right next to each other, what do you guys think?

I think you could manage it in logistic terms of the tubing if the short tubing went under the cards instead of trying to go over the top.

I'd be more worried about the connection you will be making with the GPUs since all the RAM will need cooling too.

What GPUs are you going to be cooling? or did I miss that?

Wow, thanks didn't think of going under the pcb, might actually work. I was going to cool 2 5850's I've got in crossfire. Since they don't actually produce much heat themselves, they'll easily be cooled by this mod.

On the Vram's I was thinking I'll just aircool them, stick heatsinks on them and run one fan over both PCB's to cool them, with the GPU's heat being dissipated I don't think they'll heat up as much as having the GPU previously air cooled and heat radiate towards them.

Might just order this and play with it, sort of proof of concept. Mounting them to the pcb is going to be interesting, any ideas?

(Btw great idea, getting a rep from me)

im guessing the bracket isgoing to be bigger than the holes on the pc. i would say with the asstec maybe metal bracing in a x shape to the dimensions of the holes on the pcb but that could be to big also
the coolit looks abit more complex with that pic would have to see the internals

seems someone's already done it on a single gpu basis

another attempt at closed loop watercooling a gpu, this time with a coolit.

from this post:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=102

from these pics, I guess the Coolit wouldn't work because of the size of the pump block, which is easily as big as a 3 slot cooler. Must wait for the Asetek then.
