The lime-green line out connector on my rampage formula's riser sound card is starting to go- it only likes to work in certain positions which is really annoying.

I was going to desolder something like the rear out port, (since the only one I ever use is the front line out), and replace the front, but it has proven tricky to do with 6 pins.

My proposed fix: Simply connect the pins of the front out to say the rear out or line in, in parallel, and use that port for front out. But am I going to run into problems with the attached circuitry?

BTW: I am super annoyed by the 3.5mm connectors, I've have way to many stop working (male and female)
