EDIT: The CPU availability for AM2+ is not very big... IMHO try to save your current until you can afford to upgrade to AM3 Board...
.10-.30? thats quite alot

i.e 1.2 + .3 = 1.5V

you mean .010-.030?

Yeah I realize that it could be a number of things. I've tested the memory multiple times in the past and it's come out fine. The PSU and Harddrive are less than six months old. The CPU was the only thing that wasn't running at stock settings.

The reason I'm pretty convinced it's the CPU is when I went to reformat my harddrive and it froze while loading the windows setup. That and it BSOD while running prime95.

A hexicore would be cool, but I rather have a quad with more GHZ. Eventually that hexicore might better in games, but right now it would be slower.

u have got such a good mobo why worry about clock speeds u can always overclock....and afaik the 1055t is capable of reaching 4ghz easily....so if u have money that would be a future proof sensible option....and while u r at it try finding the 95watt tdp 1055t it will run cooler and maybe overclock higher than other higher tdp 1055t proccy's....

My thirst for overclocking has run out. Every computer I've overclocked has run into problems at some point. I've been really careful over the past couple years too. I always stress test for at least 24 hours and it works for a while that way. Right now, I'd just like to have a good stable gaming computer, and then overclock if I need performance and can't afford new parts.
