Hyper 212 OR Freezer 7 Pro (rev.2) ???

Thread Starter
I am building a computer and have decided to spend $30 on a heatsink to keep my Phenom II X6 1055T cool, I don't plan on overclocking this much so I don't need anything special just want to get away from the one that came with the processor, which would provide better cooling out of these two? As well as which one create less noise? if anyone has experience with either or both please share your thoughts on them smile.gif thank you in advance!

For Phenom II x4, I would go for Hyper 212.

Hyper 212 Plus.

Get the 212+ but if its bumpy like mine was you will need to lap the hell out of it.

Hyper 212.

The Freezer 7 is only good enough for duals IMO.

Hyper has one of the most mounting system for AMD because it does not use stock bracket. Also its bigger and the option for 2 fans.

I have a Hyper 212+

It is Extremely important you read how to apply Tin on a Heat-pipe Direct Touch cooler as the Hyper, it makes a world of difference in performance!!!!

http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=170&Itemid=1&limit=1&limitstart=5

Check it out! (Notice how they filled in the empty rows with Tin before they applied the paste)

This took my hyper to a new level.
