Overclocking Amd Cpu(It is athlonII x3 445 unlocked to phenom x4 B45)

So, I was wondering what I need to do to overclock the AthlonII x3 445 or PhenomII x4 B45, whatever it is suposed to be called. I built my computer and within the first day I unlocked the fourth core, and determined it was stable(so was the L3 cache).
After that I was happy and realized this basicaly saved me $40 from buying a more expensive cpu. However, I was wondering how to overclock it the most efective way, and how hot I should allow it to get will running prime 95.
I have a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 cpu cooler. In addition I have 4 case fans configured sot that one fan is blowwing air from outiside the case to the cpu fan, and 2 fans above the cpu forcing air out.
Now, back to the whole ocing, I tried with the ASRock oc utility, however I couldn't get anything stable(or realitivley cool temps) in prime. I was testing with 3d mark(the dx 11 version) before prime, and my highes oc of 300mhz above stock crashed the computer there. So, I would just like a guide on what to do. I have been searching for hours and Haven't found anything.

Thanks, I couldn't find anything that really explained overclocking and I'm sure those guides will sufice. Next, I would like to say I am 100% sure the 4th core is fine because combined I have done probably around 7 and 3/4 hour of stress testing. I did an overnight prime test last night for 5.75 hours aprox.
I keep a monitor on my temps whenever doing testing, the max was at 50C. So, I geuss what you mean is I can get up to 68C without any wories. That is important because I had a stable overclock at around .5 Ghz over stock however I was worried when it hit 56C and shutdown prime. Thanks, and I will report some more findings here later on my OC.

Thanks, For some more advice. I geuss I will go turn off my ACC for a second and test the temps to see how far off they might actually be. To be honest though I know I can't do anything about my cooler, because the cooler was bought specificly by me for this system and I didn't do the homework there. I knew I would need more than a Stock for some OC but didn't check much more into it. I wish I hadn't installed it to my pc now as I would have return newegg and bought a hyper 212 plus.
However, so does anyone know any ways to mod the cooler to make it better. I was thinking it is close enough to one of my case fans I could close of the edges and make it somewhat push pull. I was also thinking about taking my 80mm case fan and mounting it to the heatsing and closing of the edges. However that would put it right next to the case fan.
To answer some more questions, I ran prime with only the stock speed, however this was with ACC on so I had 4 core and an L3 cache. The temps were reading in speedfan(however they may be wrong as was just pointed out) 50 at the max. This was after running for about 6 hours.
When I did overclock, I didn't run prime for too long as I was leaving and didn't want my cpu to fry when I was away from it. I know my temps went to (reading at least) 56C for a brief moment and then back down to 55C. My General rule is 55 and under. I let it hit 56C to see if it would keep going up as I then would have no hope.
So, thanks for all the advice and I will know be trying to do some tests.

I have now went and checked my temps in prime without the ACC on and it gives me a temp of 42C with just the three cores. I was wondering if the extra core really makes the difrence that puts the cpu at 50C, which is 8 degrees hotter! I mean I knew the cpu threw off more heat when unlocked, but that much. I thought it would be less than that. So, does the extra core really make that much of a difrence or is it a error.
