Tired of losing connection every 5 minutes !!!

Hi, I've posted several times before about my DWA-552 Xtreme network adapter and my DIR-655 Router. But things get worse and worse. I used to lose connection from time to time but now its literally every 5 minutes ... I can't do anything with my computer.

Connection are good (90%+) when my adapter detects my router but after a few mins (usually 5min or less) i lose connection and the adapter doesnt detect any network available (my laptop and other devices connected to my router still have internet) so i think the adapter is the problem here.

Now i tried reinstalling the latest driver, remove and plug back the adapter in the PCI slot but it doesnt work ...

Any solution ? I'm getting tired of restarting my computer every 5 minutes to have internet >.> (because disabling and re-enabling the network adapter doesnt work)

Have you tried using the adapter in a different pci slot? Another thing i use is better antennas as the ones supplied just don't have the humph/power to push the signal. I also don't like the fact having the antennas directly attached to the adapter itself and grounded to the pc.
You could also try moving the router to a more direct line of sight position.

When I have the signal its very good 90%++ its just that the adapter "disconnects" or something i dunno but im pretty sure its not because of the antennas and the router is placed not that far from the computer (my computer is 1 floor above it and both router and computer are next to the window).

I cant really try a different pci slot my graphics card is blocking 1 pci slot

Sometimes its the provider. The same thing happened to me on my computer, it worked for about 5 min then it stopped. This could be due to a weakening signal. Comcast had to come out and strengthen the signal coming into my house. Works fine now.

When I have that problem it is because of drivers. Change the drivers and my problems go away.

I agree. Had same sort of problem when I updated to the newest version of a driver that was issued. Had to roll back to the older version and it worked fine after that.
