So one of two things... you're trying to push cool air into a case in a place where warm air is naturally going to be trying to get out forcing ambient temps to rise to something comparable to August in Phoenix, OR you're actually drawing warm air through your rad and calling it cool.

Which one are we talking about here?
wish i could post a pic of it .it is completely blocked off from the rest of the computer

My idle temp (which he probably doesn't show) would be about 60 degrees and my load temp would probably cause the destabilization of weather in an entire hemisphere... but I COULD put it on youtube in about as much time as it takes sick child to soil a diaper.

An average person does not grab a 1000 dollar processor and weld it to a mobo. Who knows- maybe this guy did it right and you saw a well meaning / non-publicity seaking individual walk you through all the right steps... Then again that's what I thought I was getting into when my brother directed me to "2 girls 1 cup" on the grounds that it might help me relax a little. Now I understand the smirk on his face...

There are a few of us going through some overclocking routines with the 980X. Don't be like that one smasher (remaining nameless) who just wants people to hand over settings because he's too lazy to read. It's not that it's a secret- hey, I'll screenshot my bios and you can copy it number for number... but EVERY piece of equipment you have that has volts running through it will respond differently. So copying everything doesn't mean it's all going to work. Do some research and make sure you get at least a bit of understanding as to what you're changing and why.

Good luck with it! But most of all, remember. When you've hit that point where your system is just crashing and you're getting frustrated... just reset your settings to stock... enjoy the computer you have that- in its stock form- is still enough processing power to land an elephant on the moon. do some more research, stay curious... and then when your batteries are recharged, try it again!

When you've lost your way, guys in here seem to be LEAPING at the chance to help out!
in short if your mobo and ram are different from his, his settings usually wont work

Yes... I AM a bit long winded at the best of times. Thanks!

Interesting setup- so you have the other system fans on the roof to vent out the hot air that your other components are undoubtedly generating? So now are you pulling air from outside and putting it in the case or are you pulling air from your case and pushing it out?

pulling from the outside low, pushing it out high so all the air runs thou the case and out the top... good flow.
but the h 50 is all by its self in an aluminum box ,so to speak that pulls air from out side ,down a shroud or wind tunnel to the first fan then the radiator then the big fan pushes it all out thou the top .

My only other point of caution is the 12G ram. I'm running the same setup and I'm pulling 6 to see if I get more stability that way. Some guys say they've worked around it- but I don't need 12G to do what I do so I'm going to pull it as an experiment. Apparently 3x4 is better than 6x2 in terms of stability... but 12G is 12G and I STILL don't need that much.

Other than that you're working with a substantially different mobo- so I can't commentate on some of the subtle differences. I can't speak from experience with them

Well your ram seems to be overclocked pretty high that could be the problem at a glance.
