How much does it cost to get into WC?

Looking at maybe getting a cpu loop. How does one simply walk into water cooling?

NO H50 or H70 comments or links please.

Well if you go CPU only loop you can do it for around 200, but if you go all out with GPU's than right around 300-400, and thats a budget loop. If you want to get fancy with nice blocks, compression fittings, etc it will cost you up to 600-800.

EDIT : I think my loop cost me right around 500, and that was with buying stuff used and working deals.

dont tell him that since thats just a gateway drug into wc . That being said the h70 is a great way to start into wc at a very very very budget price.

My buddy just did a full gpu and cpu loop for under 500 and he got some sexy parts. swiftec pump, ek blocks, nice cylinder res.

all brand new mind you.

I don't think the H70 is worth the price.

Get this kit

http://www.xspc.biz/rasa750rs240kit.php

EDIT: One of the best intro kits you can get, if not thee best. It performs REALLY well for that price point.

A full blown custom loop might get you 2-5c better temps across the board - But cost you 2-3x the price, too.

Just like how they don't use real water inside, or a real pump, just like the ones used in real waterloops?

Your logic is impeccable

Yea as I said you can go as little or as big as you want with WC, for your cpu I would look into the XSPC Rasa kit.

For my first CPU loop, I spent up to $300. The compression fittings bumped the price up a good bit. I've recently read a bunch of good stuff about the XSPC Rasa kits so those may be a good start.

I bouilt my loop for about £160. GOt lots of deals of OCN
Like mpc355 with xspc top for £35 when it should cost £75
Bitspower res for £10
Xspc rs360 rad for retail price
EK cpu block used for £10
and etc...

Its very cheap IF you get deals on OCN
